Finally back! Mudryk makes his first appearance for Chelsea after doping scandal
Mykhailo will look to secure his place in Alonso's squad.
Details: Chelsea's Ukrainian winger Mykhailo Mudryk has officially returned to the pitch after serving his suspension following a doping scandal. The 25-year-old featured in a friendly match for the London club against Italy's Juventus.
The Ukrainian entered the game in the second half, coming on in the 82nd minute as a substitute for Nicolas Jackson. This was the winger's first appearance for the Blues after a long enforced layoff due to his ban.
Mykhailo Mudryk had been absent from official matches for about a year and a half (from late December 2024 to the end of July 2026), having been sidelined on suspicion of violating anti-doping regulations. At the end of July 2026, the suspension was fully lifted after investigations and an agreement with football authorities.
