An NHL game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets briefly turned into a boxing match as players from both teams engaged in a full-blown brawl on the ice, TMZ reports.

The fight broke out between Mathieu Olivier and Ryan Reaves, who threw down their sticks and gloves before squaring off in classic boxing stances. They exchanged punches in an evenly matched brawl, which, fortunately, didn’t result in any injuries.

The referees allowed the scuffle to run its course, stepping in only after the players had had their fill of trading blows, sending both to the penalty box.

This was Olivier’s tenth fight of the season, solidifying his reputation as a seasoned enforcer. Meanwhile, it marked Reaves’ first fight of the season.

A rematch between Toronto and Columbus is scheduled for April, leaving fans wondering if this intense rivalry will spark another showdown.

On the scoreboard, Columbus dominated the game, securing a resounding 5-1 victory. Despite the loss, Toronto remains at the top of the Atlantic Division in the Eastern Conference, while Columbus holds fourth place in the Metropolitan Division.
