It is known when the International Ice Hockey Federation will consider Russia's admission to the Olympics

The Winter Olympics will take place in Italy next year, with the hockey tournament expected to draw significant attention. However, it remains uncertain whether Russia will participate.

Details: According to RIA, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) will soon hold meetings to address this issue. On February 3 and 4, the IIHF will discuss the reintegration of the Russian and Belarusian national teams for the 2025/26 season, which includes the Olympic Games.

Notably, NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly recently stated that the league is not planning that far ahead due to the fluid nature of the situation. The NHL will align its stance with the international community's position on Russia’s participation in competitions.

Reminder: Very soon, in February 2025, the Four Nations Ice Hockey Tournament will take place. Four teams will take part in the competition: Canada, USA, Finland and Sweden. All teams have already announced their squads for the tournament.

The tournament will run from February 12 to 20, and seven matches will be played. It will follow a round-robin format.
