FIFA unveils symbolic World Cup team. Prepare to be surprised
Fans have assembled a squad where global superstars share the spotlight with the tournament's breakout sensation.
Details: FIFA has presented the symbolic team of the 2026 World Cup, compiled through a worldwide fan vote. The Dream XI project was organized with the support of Aramco.
Between the posts is Cape Verde's Vozinha. The defensive line features Pedro Porro, Lisandro Martínez, Dayot Upamecano, and Marc Cucurella.
In midfield, fans selected Rodri, Michael Olise, and Jude Bellingham. The star-studded attacking trio is formed by Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappé.
Spain and France are the most represented in the Dream Team, each contributing three players. Argentina adds two more to the lineup.
The inclusion of Vozinha came as a particular shock. At the World Cup, the Cape Verdean goalkeeper kept clean sheets against Spain and Saudi Arabia, becoming only the third keeper in tournament history to record multiple shutouts after turning 40.
