FIFA sanction: Al Nassr suspended from registering players over Laporte debt
FIFA has temporarily banned Al Nassr from registering new players.
Details: According to bandar_52, the reason behind the sanction is the club’s failure to fulfill its financial obligations to Manchester City regarding the transfer of Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte in the summer of 2023.
Reports indicate the debt stands at 9 million euros, with the payment deadline having expired on August 31, 2025. The ban will be lifted once the outstanding amount is settled.
Laporte spent two seasons at Al Nassr, making 69 appearances, before returning to Spanish side Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2025, where he has already featured in 13 matches.
Reminder: Al Nassr’s star striker Cristiano Ronaldo built the most expensive mansion in Portugal, valued at 29 million dollars.
