Since May, the Palestinian Football Association has been calling for FIFA to suspend Israel's national team from international competitions. However, it appears that Palestinians may have to abandon this demand.

Details: According to FIFA's website, the organization's council has not taken the decision to suspend Israel. Instead, they have found a compromise by tasking FIFA's disciplinary committee to initiate an investigation into possible violations, including discrimination. Additionally, FIFA's committees will be required to investigate the presence of teams in Israeli competitions operating within Palestinian territories.

Reminder: The complaint against the Israeli Football Federation was filed back in May. FIFA has delayed the decision multiple times, first moving it to the May Congress, then to the end of the Olympics, and later to the end of August.
