FIFA has deleted the first official 2026 World Cup poster from its social media accounts.

Details: The reason behind this move was a flood of negative comments: fans pointed out that Cristiano Ronaldo was missing from the poster.

The poster was released as part of the tournament's promotional campaign, which will, for the first time, feature 48 teams across the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Earlier, Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in a World Cup qualifier against Ireland, which could see him miss Portugal's opening match at the 2026 World Cup.

The tournament is set to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Reminder: Donald Trump shared that meeting Ronaldo was a special moment for him.
