FIFA are considering how players will walk onto the pitch at the 2026 World Cup
At the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, players entered the pitch one by one, similar to the style seen in basketball and hockey, but FIFA are now looking to change that format for the international tournament.
Details: according to Ben Jacobs, FIFA officials understand that having every player walk out individually takes too much time, but they also do not want to return to the traditional format. FIFA are now considering testing a new style of player entrance for the tournament.
Meanwhile, Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola was recently asked by journalists whether there is any chance that the club’s 29-year-old defensive midfielder and Spain international Rodri could miss the World Cup.
Reminder: FIFA president Gianni Infantino has addressed the growing dissatisfaction over ticket prices for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup.
