FIFA and Morocco Sign Deal to Establish New Regional Office in Rabat

In a landmark move, Moroccan Football Federation president Fouzi Lekjaa and FIFA President Gianni Infantino have signed a protocol to establish a FIFA Regional Headquarters in Morocco.

The agreement, signed after the CAF Awards ceremony on Monday, will see the new office located in the capital, Rabat, near the Mohammed VI Complex, which is home to Morocco’s national team training camps.

Infantino praised Morocco for its efforts to promote football in Africa and beyond, saying, "The new regional office shows how important the country's work in football is."

Since Morocco, Spain, and Portugal are working together to plan the tournament, the office will also play a key role in getting ready for the 2030 World Cup.
