Fernando da Cruz confirms defender Rushwin Dortley return for Kaizer Chiefs

Rushwin Dortley is now ready to play for Kaizer Chiefs.

The former Cape Town Spurs defender has spent more than a year on the sidelines after a knee operation which kept him out of competitive football.

Chiefs coach Fernando da Cruz has confirmed the former Bafana Bafana left-footed centre back is ready and nearing his return.

"Dortley will start to play games soon,” said Da Cruz last night after Amakhosi's 2-2 draw against Richards Bay FC.

“He firstly played a friendly match in the last Friday, and also yesterday (Tuesday), he played with the DDC.

So, we will give him minutes but we will take time with him. We want to be sure that when he comes back he will be ready 100%.”
