Formula 1 star Fernando Alonso unveiled a new karting venue in Spain, sharing a video of the event in his Instagram story.
Alonso reposted a video from the official Instagram account of Spain's DAZN. In the footage, Fernando is seen getting behind the wheel of a kart and hitting the track for some fast laps. The video is captioned: “@fernandoalo_oficial at the opening of the new indoor karting venue in Asturias 🏁🔥 And check out the number on his kart... 😏😂”.
It's worth noting that Fernando Alonso remains an active Formula 1 driver. The Spaniard currently races for Aston Martin and has recently started picking up valuable points in the championship standings.
At the Canadian Grand Prix, Alonso finished seventh—his best result of the current season.
Let us remind you that the Spaniard is a two-time Formula 1 world champion, having claimed the title in 2005 and 2006 while driving for Renault.
