Formula 1 star Fernando Alonso once again finished a race this season without scoring any points, as he was forced to retire before the checkered flag. The Spaniard shared his thoughts about the incident on his Instagram page.

Alonso posted a message in which he commented on his early exit from the track.

"Weekend performed at high level with good laps in qualifying and the race, pushing to the limit to overcome a problem with the engine power from lap 15…until the engine gave up. The team will investigate the issue, and we’ll try to resolve it for future races. Happy to have pushed to the maximum as always. Next weekend another great place for me and for F1. @circuitdebcncat," wrote Fernando.

As a reminder, the Spaniard was forced to retire from the Monaco Grand Prix due to engine problems. The setback struck as he was running inside the top 10 and had a genuine shot at scoring his first points of the 2025 season.

In the overall standings, Alonso currently sits 18th; besides him, three other drivers remain without points.
