Fermín López suffers injury against Chelsea and will miss several weeks

Barcelona travelled to face Chelsea and fell to a 0–3 defeat, but that was not the only bad news — one of their key attacking players has picked up an injury.

Details: Barcelona officially announced on their X account that Fermín López has sustained an injury to the soleus muscle in his right leg. The issue will sideline him in the near future, with an expected absence of two weeks.

He now risks missing four Barcelona fixtures: against Alavés, Atlético Madrid, and Betis in La Liga, as well as Eintracht in the UEFA Champions League.

We previously reported that the Catalan club have reached an agreement on a new contract with centre-back Eric García. Only the official announcement from the club remains.

Reminder: Lamine Yamal faced a hostile reception from English club supporters, causing concern within Barcelona.
