On Saturday, August 3, the final of the 2024 Olympics in team sabre fencing took place in Paris.
In the final match, the teams of Ukraine and South Korea faced off. The Ukrainian fencers emerged victorious with a score of 45-42.
The decisive victory for Ukraine was secured by Olga Kharlan, who now has a total of six Olympic medals, including two golds. In Paris, Olga had previously won a bronze medal in individual sabre.
Kharlan entered the decisive duel with the score at 37-40 in favor of the opponents. Olga managed to equalize the score (40-40) and secure the win for Ukraine.
This is Ukraine's first gold medal at the Paris Olympics.
