FECAFOOT and FIF confirm the international friendly match between Ivory Coast and Cameroon
The match will be played in Ivory Coast at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé during the October 2026 international break.
The reunion between the Elephants of Ivory Coast and the Indomitable Lions is indeed going ahead. The two teams, who last faced each other in the group stage of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, will go head-to-head in a friendly in a few weeks’ time.
The Cameroonian Football Federation and the Ivorian Football Federation have confirmed that the match will take place on Saturday 3 October. The match is scheduled for 7 pm GMT at the Alassane Ouattara Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé, Abidjan.
This international friendly will take place after the first two matchdays of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. It will therefore allow the Elephants and the Indomitable Lions to fine-tune their tactics ahead of the remainder of the qualifying campaigns for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
