Falconets End WAFU B U20 Cup in Style with Win Over Benin
Nigeria’s U20 women’s team, the Falconets, ended their impressive run at the 2025 WAFU B U20 Girls Cup with a 1–0 victory over hosts Benin on Wednesday at the Stade Omnisports d'Adjohoun.
Having already clinched the title after earlier wins against Ghana and Benin, the Falconets maintained a flawless record — four wins from four games — and didn’t concede in their last two matches.
Nigeria took control early, displaying sharp passing and attacking confidence. Their pressure paid off in the 16th minute when Ramotalahi Kareem finished calmly from close range to give the team the lead.
