Sami Komsan, the assistant coach of Al Ahly, emphasized the importance of his team's involvement in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, stating that it demonstrates the club's status as Africa's most successful team.

Komsan called the participation a huge honor for Egyptian and African football in his interview on "Al Koura Ma'a Fayeq" on MBC Masr 2. He emphasized Al Ahly's distinct position in world football by stating that major international teams like Barcelona, AC Milan, and Liverpool would not be playing in the league.

Komsan hopes the team will make a strong impact in the tournament and aims to advance as far as possible.

When discussing Al Ahly's upcoming match against Inter Miami, led by Argentine star Lionel Messi, Komsan expressed excitement about facing such legendary players. He also remembered playing against top European teams like Bayern Munich during their prime.

Komsan added, "The support of our fans motivates us and makes us feel equal to any global team," highlighting Al Ahly's self-assurance. He said that the success of Mohamed Salah with Liverpool is a good example of how Egyptian players can be strong.

Komsan also reflected on the 0-0 draw with Orlando Pirates in the CAF Champions League, noting that it extended their unbeaten streak to 26 games across Africa and marked the return of forward Wissam Abou Ali.

He highlighted the advantages of coach Marcel Koller's squad rotation, which guarantees equal chances for all players, including rookies Karim El Debes, Omar El Sayi, and Mohamed Abdullah.

Komsan concluded by praising Taher Mohamed Taher's performance this season, acknowledging both his technical and athletic prowess as well as his perseverance. Although Taher has experienced ups and downs like every player, he admitted that he is still a vital member of the squad.
