As Al Ahly gears up for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, strategic squad reinforcements are high on the club’s agenda. The Egyptian champions will face Inter Miami, Porto, and Palmeiras in Group A, with their opening match against Inter Miami set for June 15, 2025.

On his show "On Sport FM," journalist Ahmed Shobeir explained Al Ahly's position on signing players, saying:
"Al Ahly will not consider loan deals for the Club World Cup. This option is not being looked at."

Shobeir also hinted that the club might welcome Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet back. Trezeguet is currently on loan from Trabzonspor, playing for Al Rayyan in Qatar.

To cover for injured players, like Palestinian forward Wissam Abu Ali, who has missed both local and international games, it's reported that Al Ahly plans to sign a striker during the upcoming winter transfer period.
