Guard Chris Paul of the Golden State Warriors will miss the NBA playoffs for the first time in 14 years.

Golden State lost to Sacramento (94:118) in the play-in game, marking the end of their season. The last time Paul missed the NBA playoffs was during the 2009/10 season when he played for the New Orleans Hornets.

The experienced point guard joined the Golden State Warriors last summer. This season, he played 59 games, averaging 9.1 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 6.7 assists per game.

Paul, 38, previously played for the Phoenix Suns from 2020 to 2023, and before that, he played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Clippers. A native of North Carolina, he ranks third in NBA history in career assists and steals, behind only John Stockton and Jason Kidd.
