Ex-Orlando Pirates coach gets a job in third-tier league club


Last season, Cape Town Spurs were relegated from the National First Division. Club bosses are determined to return to professional tournaments as soon as possible by inviting experienced people to the club.
Details: Cape Town Spurs has announced the appointment of Roger de Sa as the club’s new Technical Director. His functions will be a work with the first-team coaching staff to ensure the squad is optimally prepared. His primary mandate is to build a sustainable, high-performance structure aligned with the club’s ambitions.
Reminder: De Sa was an assistant coach to Carlos Queiroz with the Egyptian and Iranian national teams. As a head coach, he worked with Ajax Cape Town, where he won MTN8 Cup in 2015/16 season and Orlando Pirates in 2012-2014. With Queiroz, he won an Asian Cup in 2022/2023 season. Last season, he was an assistant of Diogo Peral in Cape Town City.
