There has been a lot of talk recently about Manchester United's interest in young Benfica midfielder Joao Neves, for whom the Red Devils are reportedly willing to pay under a hundred million euros. But, some people are warning the 19-year-old player against a move to Old Trafford.

Neves' potential move has been assessed by former Manchester United and Benfica midfielder Nemanja Matic, who believes it is too early for the young talent to leave the Eagles' camp in principle:

"I think it's too early for him to take such a big step and leave the team. If I were him, I would stay at Benfica for a few more years to play in the Champions League and get stronger. I am sure that the time to leave will come, because there is no rush.

João is already in a good team. I believe his future at Benfica will be very good, but of course the final decision will always be his," the Serbian said in a conversation with O Jogo.
