Former Liverpool and England striker Daniel Sturridge has finally resolved a five-year legal battle involving the theft of his dog, according to Daily Mail. The ex-footballer paid rapper Killa Fame $20,000 in an out-of-court settlement, with neither party admitting liability or wrongdoing.

The saga began in 2019 when Sturridge announced that his beloved Pomeranian, Lucci, had been stolen and offered a cash reward for its safe return. The dog was soon recovered and reunited with Sturridge’s family.

However, the story didn’t end there. Killa Fame came forward, claiming he had found the dog but never received the promised reward. He filed a civil lawsuit against Sturridge and won, with a Los Angeles court ordering the former footballer to pay $30,000.

Sturridge ignored the court order and subsequent demands to appear in court, resulting in an arrest warrant being issued. To settle the matter, he eventually agreed to pay $20,000 to Killa Fame.

“The truth is, I personally paid a reward to the young boy who found him. He was delighted with the reward, as were my family and I to get Lucci home,” Sturridge said of the situation in 2023.
