Ex-Liverpool assistant Klopp's Lijnders could return to England

Longtime Jurgen Klopp assistant at Liverpool, Pep Lijnders, ventured out on his own last year, but so far his solo managerial journey has been rocky. Now, the Dutchman is facing another opportunity to prove his mettle.
Details: According to The Athletic, the 42-year-old coach is being considered by the Norwich City board, who dismissed Johannes Hoff Thorup from the head coach position back in April. Lijnders is expected to hold talks with the Canaries in the near future.
Background: Last summer, the Dutch specialist took over as manager of Red Bull Salzburg, but his stint was short-lived—he was dismissed before the end of the year, departing in December.
Despite guiding the team into the Champions League group stage, Lijnders' Salzburg lost five out of six matches in the competition and sat fifth in the league, trailing leaders Sturm Graz by ten points.
The Canaries, meanwhile, finished 13th in the Championship, 11 points adrift of the promotion playoff zone. For the final two matches of the season, the team was led by Jack Wilshere.
