Hungary's national team player Barnabás Varga has been discharged from a German hospital, as announced by the Hungarian Football Federation.

The Hungarian striker is not facing any serious threats and has left the hospital in Stuttgart.

In the third-round match of the group stage of the 2024 European Championship, Hungarian national team player Barnabás Varga collided with the Scottish goalkeeper and was unable to continue the match due to a head injury.

It is worth noting that the player lay on the pitch for several minutes, receiving medical attention. He was then covered with a blanket and carried off the field on a stretcher. Varga is currently in a Stuttgart clinic. According to Hungarian media outlet M4 Sport, Varga even communicated with medical staff during the trip to the hospital.

That doctors diagnosed facial fractures, and the morning after the game, he successfully underwent surgery.

It is worth noting that the Hungarian national team secured a last-minute victory over Scotland and finished third in Group A. Marco Rossi's team still holds a chance of advancing to the playoffs.

Barnabás Varga, 29, is the top scorer for Ferencváros. In the past season, he netted 29 goals in 40 matches.
