During the meeting, Zahavi told Laporta that Lewandowski is ready to accept a significant pay cut in order to secure a new deal with the Blaugrana. However, Laporta chose not to pursue the topic further and postponed the discussion for later.
This season, Lewandowski has played 35 matches for Barcelona, scoring 14 goals and providing 3 assists. His current contract with the Blaugrana expires this summer, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at 8 million euros.
In addition to Barcelona, Lewandowski also has concrete interest from MLS and Saudi Arabian clubs.
Reminder: Big ambitions! After winning the election, Joan Laporta promises to bring Messi back to Barcelona
