Laporta stated that while it may not happen soon, Leo's return is inevitable:
"Leo will be connected to Barcelona in any way he wishes. He deserves a tribute, and even a statue. That would be incredibly significant. Only Ladislao Kubala and Johan Cruyff have statues at the stadium. The doors of Barcelona are always open for him, whenever he wants, so he can continue to build and contribute greatness to this club." Laporta declared.
Messi played for Barcelona from 2005 to 2021, before leaving Catalonia due to disagreements with the club’s management.
Leo racked up 778 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 672 goals and providing 303 assists.
Reminder: No changes. Joan Laporta remains president of Barcelona
