On Sunday, May 18, Turkey hosted decisive matches for the league title, ultimately crowning the new champion.

The infamous José Mourinho once again came up short: his Fenerbahçe, just like last year, finished in second place. While last season the title race went down to the wire, this time Galatasaray clinched the Süper Lig championship ahead of schedule.

Okan Buruk’s men needed only to avoid defeat at home against Kayserispor. The team handled the challenge with confidence, securing a comfortable victory. The decisive goal came from Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen midway through the first half, and the match ended 3-0. The final goal of the match was scored by the Istanbul giant's goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera, who converted a penalty.

Galatasaray have now secured their third consecutive league crown and the 25th in club history. Osimhen himself finished as the league’s top scorer with 25 goals and also added 6 goals in the Europa League and 5 in the Turkish Cup to his tally.
