Mauro Icardi congratulates Galatasaray on winning the Turkish Cup

Galatasaray star Mauro Icardi congratulated his club on their Turkish Cup final victory, marking the 19th time in the club's storied history they've claimed this prestigious trophy. The striker shared his congratulations in an Instagram story.

Icardi reposted an official Galatasaray Instagram post announcing the team's cup triumph, adding several emojis: a lion—symbolizing the club's famous nickname—the yellow and red hearts, and, of course, a trophy.

It’s worth noting that yesterday Galatasaray delivered a commanding performance in the final, defeating Trabzonspor 3-0. This victory marks the Istanbul giants’ 19th Turkish Cup title.

The Lions could soon secure the league title as well. With three rounds left in the championship, they lead Fenerbahçe by eight points and will clinch the trophy if they beat Kayserispor this coming weekend.

As a reminder, Mauro Icardi is currently sidelined and unable to help his team, as he is still recovering from a cruciate ligament knee injury. The Argentine striker has resumed individual training, but is expected to be fully fit only by the start of the off-season.
