Even Haaland is embarrassed! Manchester City superstar reveals his most annoying habit
Erling Haaland terrifies defenders on the football pitch, but it turns out he can be just as frustrating for opponents in video games. The Manchester City superstar has made a hilarious confession about his playing style in Call of Duty.
Details: Speaking in a video released on October 21 alongside British rapper Aitch, Haaland admitted that he has always been a camper in Call of Duty. The 26-year-old Norwegian said: "This is a bit embarrassing to say, but I've been a camper my whole life. I'm that guy that you hate." His confession quickly attracted attention among football and gaming fans.
In gaming terminology, camping means remaining in one position, often hidden, and waiting for opponents rather than moving around the map. The tactic can be effective, but it is widely disliked by players who prefer aggressive gameplay. Haaland jokingly acknowledged that his approach probably annoys plenty of people.
The striker made the admission after getting an early opportunity to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. He also explained that gaming brings back childhood memories and that playing with funny friends makes the experience especially enjoyable. Haaland has previously named Modern Warfare 2 among his favourite games.
It's worth noting that Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled for its full release on November 22, 2026. Away from gaming, Haaland remains a central figure for Manchester City, who face Aston Villa in the Premier League on October 24. On the pitch, unlike in Call of Duty, the Norwegian rarely waits quietly for opportunities.
