European leagues and FIFPro reject new Super League project thesuperleague.com

A few days ago, the new Super League project, now renamed the "Unity League," was unveiled. However, it appears that this venture faces significant obstacles.

Details: Today, the Union of European Leagues and the professional footballers' association (FIFPro) released a joint statement regarding Florentino Pérez's initiative and the A22 company.

In their statement, they firmly denied that A22 or other organizers had engaged in any negotiations with them.

Additionally, they highlighted that the proposed format significantly increases the number of matches in an already overloaded calendar.

Reminder: It was previously reported that 60 clubs had agreed to participate in the new project.
