This summer, there were rumors about Real Madrid’s interest in Spain’s central defender Aymeric Laporte, who currently plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. However, the transfer did not materialize, and the player remained at Al-Nassr.
Details: In an interview with Marca, Laporte confirmed that he is considering leaving Saudi Arabia, as being there keeps him far from his family.
Quote: "In Saudi Arabia, I am far from my surroundings and my family. It was something I thought about when I moved here, and it is something I will need to assess in deciding whether I want to return to Europe."
Reminder: Laporte previously played for Athletic Bilbao and Manchester City in Europe. Despite his move to Saudi Arabia, he was a key player for Spain during their triumphant Euro 2024 campaign.
