Euromatch NPFL: Rangers Fight Back to Earn 2-2 Draw Against Barau FC in Kano

Rangers International picked up a valuable away point after playing out a 2-2 draw against Barau FC in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Eight encounter at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano on Sunday.

The Flying Antelopes took the lead in the 38th minute through Ifeanyi Okechukwu before Chidiebere Nwobodo struck deep into stoppage time in the 90+3rd minute to secure a share of the spoils.

Barau FC responded through two second-half penalties, with Joseph Atule converting in the 56th minute before Aliyu Sugau scored from the spot in the 68th minute.

The result extended Barau FC’s winless run to three consecutive matches, with the Kano-based side managing just one victory in their last five NPFL outings.

Barau will now shift their attention to next weekend’s fixture against Rivers United as they look to return to winning ways.
