Euromatch NPFL: Plateau United Thrash Kano Pillars 4-0 to Move Third in Standings

Plateau United returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion after recording a commanding 4-0 victory over Kano Pillars in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday Eight encounter at the Jos Stadium.

The Peace Boys made a flying start as Paul Samson opened the scoring in the third minute before Ekundayo Ojo doubled their advantage in first-half stoppage time.

Samuel Ayanrinde added a third in the 82nd minute, while Nenrot Silas converted a penalty in the 90+4th minute to complete the convincing victory.

The result sees Plateau United bounce back from last weekend’s 2-0 defeat to Enyimba United and strengthen their position among the league’s leading teams.

The Jos-based side now sit third in the NPFL standings with 14 points, three behind Rangers International.

Plateau United will look to maintain their momentum when they face Sporting Lagos in their next fixture next weekend.
