Eric Tinkler tipped to takeover the coaching reigns at Nedbank Cup winners Durban City

Eric Tinkler is earmarked to take over as coach of Betway Premiership side Durban City.

Tinkler has been club-less since he departed from Sekhukhune United earlier last month after failing to finish in the top three.

City have been coach-less since the departure of Sinethemba Badela in January following a string of poor results and Pitso Dladla took over albeit on interim basis.

Dladla has been assistant at the team having served under Gavin Hunt and Badela at the club this season since they returned to the PSL from National First Division.

Dladla has indicated his lack of desire to be appointed on a permanent basis and that's club chairman Farouk Kadodia has engaged Tinkler for the position.

Talks are said to be at an advanced stage and the announcement is imminent.
