EPL. Arsenal lost to Fulham and dropped to fourth place
During the 20th matchday of the English Premier League, Fulham hosted Arsenal at Craven Cottage, in what was dubbed the London derby.
The "Gunners" promptly took control of the ball and netted an early goal. Bukayo Saka capitalized on a rebound, effortlessly slotting the ball into Fulham's net from close range. The hosts retaliated swiftly through a powerful strike by Raul Jimenez, leveling the score as both teams headed into halftime on equal footing.
In the second half, the "Cottagers" matched their more renowned opponent evenly. Moreover, it was Fulham who seized the lead in the 60th minute, courtesy of an excellent shot by Bobby Reid. Arsenal, lacking a convincing response, found themselves with limited prospects for an equalizer.
Entering the new year, Mikel Arteta's team occupies the fourth position in the English Premier League standings, while Fulham sits in the 13th spot.
