England's national team and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone will miss the Euro 2024 championship.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper sustained an elbow injury on the eve of the friendly match against Belgium (2-2). According to Daily Mail, Johnstone underwent surgery today and will miss the remainder of the current season.

Johnstone served as a backup to Jordan Pickford during the qualifying cycle for Euro 2024.

In the current season, Johnstone has played 20 Premier League matches, conceding 27 goals and keeping 6 clean sheets.

At the Euro 2024 championship, England's national team will compete in the same group as Serbia, Slovenia, and Denmark.
