England, France and Germany. The main favourites for Euro 2024 have been named

Analytical portal Opta has named the main favourite to win the 2024 European Championship, which starts on 14 June in Germany.

According to the supercomputer, England is the main favourite, with 19.9% odds on its victory. The French national team is in second place. The computer estimates the chances of the French at 19.1%. The Euro hosts Germany round off the top three, receiving 12.4% from the Opta portal.

The top five favourites also include the following teams: Spain 9.6% and Portugal 9.2%. It will be harder for the Netherlands (5.1%), reigning champions Italy (5.0%) and Belgium (4.7%), but the supercomputer does not diminish the chances of these three teams.

It will be recalled that 24 national teams will take part in the decisive stage of Euro 24, which will be divided into six groups at the first stage. The group stage matches are scheduled from the first day of the tournament until 26 June.

The two best teams in each group, as well as four of the six best teams that finished in third place, will reach the play-offs.
