England are set to take their chef on a tour of India. The hosts have given their response

The England national team is planning to bring its own chef for the tour to India.

As reported by Cricket Times quoting The Telegraph, the England team management is planning to bring in a chef who will be responsible for catering the players during the team's seven-week tour of the Asian country. Such an act was decided to avoid possible illnesses of the national team players.

Obviously, this situation was not to everyone's liking in India. Former national team player Virender Sehwag wrote in X (former Twitter) that England need a cook after the departure of Alastair Cook.

It may be recalled that India and England will meet in a five-match Test series. The first of them will take place as early as 25 January.
