Emiliano Martínez has reassured Chelsea supporters after a frightening night.
Details: Chelsea and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez has spoken publicly after undergoing surgery following the serious injury he suffered in the Premier League clash with Everton. The Argentine sustained a fractured jaw after a heavy collision during Chelsea's 2-0 victory and was taken to hospital for further examinations.

Martínez later confirmed that the operation had been completed successfully and shared a photo from hospital. Despite the severity of the incident, the 33-year-old goalkeeper was in positive spirits and immediately turned his attention to Chelsea's result.
"The most important things are 3 points and clean sheet. I'll be back in few weeks!" Martínez wrote.
The Argentine was forced off after colliding with Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite. Chelsea's medical staff treated him on the pitch before he was stretchered off and transferred to hospital. Subsequent examinations led to the diagnosis of a jaw fracture that required surgery.
It is worth noting that Martínez only joined Chelsea from Aston Villa on August 30, 2026. The London club handed the World Cup-winning goalkeeper a three-year contract, and he quickly established himself as the Blues' first-choice option.
