Elite One: Colombe closes the gap on Unisport

After beating Panthere on matchday 19.

Colombe capitalised on Unisport Bafang’s slip-up on Sunday 17 May. The Southern Birds secured the three points they needed at the Omnisports Stadium in Yaounde.

Colombe took the lead early in the first half. Eyango Priso capitalised on a mistake by Marc Yapende to open the scoring. Fergani Edzimbii then doubled the lead thanks to an assist from Henri Tchikeu, 2-0.

This victory allows Colombe to close the gap on Unisport Bafang, who, for their part, suffered a heavy defeat against PWD Bamenda. Six points now separate the league leaders from the runners-up.
