South African football is hitting the brakes for election day.

Details: Kaizer Chiefs have officially confirmed that their scheduled Betway Premiership home match against AmaZulu on Wednesday, 4 November has been postponed because it clashes with South Africa's local government elections. The club added that all other PSL fixtures scheduled for the same day have also been postponed.

According to the Chiefs' statement, the Premier Soccer League will announce the rescheduled dates later. The club will then communicate the confirmed details to its supporters, meaning there are currently no replacement dates for the postponed matches.

The latest Betway Premiership schedule confirms that the entire seven-match programme planned for 4 November is marked as postponed.

  • Siwelele vs Orlando Pirates
  • Chippa United vs Sekhukhune United
  • Golden Arrows vs Marumo Gallants
  • Kaizer Chiefs vs AmaZulu
  • Polokwane City vs Kruger United
  • Richards Bay vs Stellenbosch FC
  • TS Galaxy vs Durban City

It is worth noting that the current league calendar shows the next Betway Premiership matches on 27 November, when Durban City are due to face Polokwane City and Stellenbosch FC host TS Galaxy. That comes after FIFA's men's international window, which runs from 9 to 17 November 2026.

Reminder: No disciplinary absences ahead of the derby. Kaizer Chiefs keep key defenders
