Egypt’s Answer to Lamine Yamal? Rising Star Mohamed Hamd Draws Attention
Egyptian football might soon see a new star similar to Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. Mohamed Hamd, a talented player on Egypt's U-17 national team, is already being compared to the Spanish sensation.
In an interview with Channel One Egypt, Mohamed El Sayegh, who works with Egypt's youth team, talked about Hamd's potential to play for the senior national team. “Everyone sees Hamd as Egypt’s Lamine Yamal,” he remarked, adding that his inclusion in the senior squad, even on the bench, could be transformative for both the player and his peers.
Hamd shone in the North African Championship, leading Egypt to a 7-1 victory over Libya. After starting his career with Al Ahly, Hamad moved to Zamalek, where he developed into a powerful left winger. His skills have been noticed by everyone, despite the difficulties he faced when moving to other teams. Coach Hossam Hassan is under pressure from many to give Hamad a chance to play with the first team in the near future.

Egyptian football fans are eager to watch this talented player grow.
