Eduoard Mendy makes history

The Senegalese goalkeeper has added another trophy and some impressive statistics to his record.

Eduoard Mendy continues to add to his trophy haul. Following the UEFA Champions League in 2021, the Africa Cup of Nations and the AFC Champions League last season, the Senegalese goalkeeper was crowned Asian champion once again with Al Ahli on Saturday 25 April.

The Senegalese international and his Saudi club defeated FC Machida Zelvia to claim the continental trophy for the second year running.
This triumph propels Edouard Mendy into the history books. The Senegalese international goalkeeper has become the first player in history to be crowned champion in both the UEFA Champions League and the AFC Champions League.
Furthermore, Edouard Mendy has kept a clean sheet in seven of the ten finals he has played in for both club and country.
