Edouard Mendy reacts to Al-Ahli’s AFC Champions League triumph

Al-Ahli beat FC Machida Zelvia on Saturday 25 April in the AFC Champions League final. The victory saw the Saudi club achieve a remarkable feat by winning a second consecutive title in the competition. Expressing his delight, Edouard Mendy was quick to acknowledge the fans’ contribution.

This second consecutive title is a great honour. It was a fantastic day thanks to the fans. We’ve won the title twice in a row in Jeddah thanks to them. We’re the best in Asia; we represent Saudi Arabia and we’re proud of it. With our qualities, we can compete with any opponent.
