Fiorentina player Edoardo Bove is feeling better and has been transferred out of the intensive care unit, reports Daily Mail.
"Edoardo is doing well, he is recovering and we are happy. We have to be patient and have respect for him. He changed [hospital] wards so things are better," said Fiorentina’s director Alessandro Ferrari to Italian broadcaster Mediaset.
Ahead of their Coppa Italia match against Empoli, Fiorentina fans and players organized a tribute to the player. A banner featuring Bove’s shirt number was displayed in the stands, fans brought posters with messages for Edoardo, and Fiorentina players also took a banner onto the pitch.
Recall that Edoardo Bove collapsed during Sunday’s Serie A match against Inter, suffering from a cardiac arrest. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where his heart had to be restarted with the help of a defibrillator.
Now, the player is feeling much better and has been moved to a regular ward. Doctors have assured that Edoardo's life is no longer in danger.
