Eberl influenced Davies’ agent on Bayern contract renewal
It was previously reported that Bayern Munich was close to renewing the contract with their defender Alphonso Davies. However, it turns out that this was the result of a firm stance taken by the club’s sporting director, Max Eberl.
Details: According to Sport1, during discussions with the Canadian’s agent, Nick Huoseen, Eberl made it clear that Bayern would not go out of their way to extend the defender’s stay at the club.
Additionally, the fact that Real Madrid, who had shown interest in the player, also did not want to pay him the desired €20 million per year worked against Davies. As a result, both parties decided to take into account the defender’s desire to remain at Bayern, and they are now close to reaching an agreement.
Reminder: It was previously reported that Davies will sign a four-year contract with the possibility of an additional year extension.
