Madelene Wright managed to turn one of the most painful episodes of her career into a brand new source of income—and then made her return to the football pitch.

Details: In December 2020, Charlton Athletic parted ways with Wright after controversial videos surfaced on social media. The English player later admitted that being let go was a heavy blow, making her question whether she would ever be able to play football again.

However, after leaving Charlton, Wright’s life took a dramatic turn. She launched an OnlyFans page and soon began earning sums that dwarfed her previous football wages. In 2022, Wright herself estimated her platform earnings at around £500,000, and later Goal reported she had made nearly that amount in her very first year on the site.

Social media is now buzzing with claims that the Englishwoman’s total income on the platform has already surpassed £1 million. However, this specific figure has not been confirmed by any reliable, verifiable sources.

Despite everything, Wright didn’t abandon football. After returning to the pitch, she played for several teams and is now listed as a forward for Chatham Town. The club officially signed her ahead of the 2025/26 season, and she remains on the team’s official roster to this day.

What’s more, the English player continues to combine her football career with her work on OnlyFans—her time on the pitch is no longer her only source of income.
