The new official football season has already kicked off. The first rounds of top leagues, international matches, and even the UEFA Champions League games have been played. Additionally, in just a week, on September 27, the latest version of the popular football simulator EA FC 25 will be released.

FIFA will host the Rocket League World Cup. What do we know so far?

The Dailysports team has gathered the key changes and innovations that await all fans of the game.

Brand-new mode – Rush

Rush 5 vs 5 is a completely new mode in the FC series. Rush includes everything from 11 vs 11 matches, but on a smaller field.

Rush 5x5 mode:

  • 10 real players in a single match;
  • A mini-football field with a 5x5 format;
  • Each real player controls one virtual player;
  • The ability to choose one of your Ultimate Team players;
  • Open queue and play with friends available;
  • Additional bonuses and challenges.

Nike has also designed a special virtual stadium for the Rush mode. The 5x5 battle atmosphere will be distinctly different from standard matches.

And, of course, the main feature of Rush is team communication: during the match, you can send messages and reactions to your teammates.

Ultimate Team Update

The main change in UT is the new FC IQ mechanic. It will help players rethink their tactical approaches in this mode. As for coaches, they will now have tactical setups based on the real-life playing styles of specific specialists.

This means that when selecting a coach, players can build a team based on his preferred real-life style of play.

Evolution

Players can change backgrounds, borders, animations, and sound effects.

The developers have stated that they have listened to player feedback and changed the system for storing untradable duplicate players earned in draft challenges. They have also removed contracts, meaning that coaches and players no longer need to renew contracts to play for your team.

Career Mode Update

The offline career mode for both manager and player will also undergo significant changes. First, the new edition introduces "Dynamic Career Starting Points." What does this mean? Every week, the game will update the statistics and standings of ten leagues and 12 cup competitions based on real-world data.

Thus, you can start a managerial career at the exact point where a team currently stands in real life.

The FC IQ mode will also be present in offline modes.

Additionally, youth academies and schools have undergone major updates. Scouts will now select players from 160 countries (previously less than 100). Furthermore, you will not only select the "wonderkids" you need, but you will also be able to observe their development and even their physiological changes in real-time.

Another new feature is the addition of a "Career" mode for women, with five licensed leagues: England, Spain, Germany, France, and the USA. The UEFA Champions League will also be available.

Along with the major updates to career mode, developers have introduced a host of additional changes:

  • New social media with real journalists and news (for example, Fabrizio Romano);
  • A new interface;
  • Several original stories in Personal Career mode;
  • New player appearance settings, as well as an updated simulation functionality and visuals.
