During his time at Liverpool, Jürgen Klopp declined an opportunity to return to Borussia Dortmund, despite receiving such an offer from the club’s management.
Details: Hans-Joachim Watzke, the chairman of Borussia, approached Klopp about a return to Dortmund around two and a half years ago, as reported by Bild.
Klopp was offered any position he desired at Borussia, with Watzke even suggesting the role of his successor at the club. However, all offers were turned down.
Reminder: During his tenure with the "Yellow and Blacks" (2008–2015), Klopp led the team to two Bundesliga titles and a Champions League final in 2013.
Last week, he signed a contract with Red Bull, where he will serve as the global head of football for their football system.
