Durban City coach Pitso Dladla still believes they will finish strongly in the PSL despite losing 5-2 to bottom side Magesi FC in the Premierrhsip

Pitso Dladla insists Durban City are looking at ensuring a decent finish in the Betway Premiership this season.

Dladla is somehow not losing hope at the top eight prospects despite losing to Magesi FC 5-2 on Sunday evening.

This defeat sent shock waves in the entire PSL space as it saw Magesi move away from the bottom of the Betway Premiership table.

And that defeat also brought doubt if Durban City would still have a decent finish at the end of the campaign.

But Dladla does believe it’s possible.

“As I have said, the target is to finish in a strong top eight position, but there are many dynamics in the top eight,” he told journalists.

“Let me put it like this, you are in the top four next season, when you play top eight, you play at home. Any team would want that. You also know the structure of the draw.”

“Number one playing number eight, number two playing number seven. So when I say we want to finish in a strong top eight spot, I am referring to such things.”
